The custom add-on Pure Faction fixes ALL known problems with Red Faction 1, and also provides anti-cheat, automatic map downloader, and many other great features. It fixes numerous security holes and fixes bugs. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you play Red Faction using Pure Faction.

NOTE: If you still experience this problem using Pure Faction; ensure that you have selected either the "Windowed" or "Stretched" window mode in the Pure Faction Launcher (PFLauncher.exe) before launching.
